The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations [FAO] and the Future Food Institute are developing joint advanced learning programs, including a digital boot camp and hands-on experience supported by a series of masterclasses, open conversations, hackathons and FAO e-learning courses, multilingual and accessible to all, anytime, anywhere, made to transfer knowledge, skills, and competencies and to empower youth, change-makers and food industry, leaders.
This Digital Boot Camp is designed to empower Climate and Food Shapers that are individuals with a strong passion for advancing the global movement for the Sustainable Development Goals in the most regenerative, impactful and innovative way possible; individuals with a project, an idea, or a personal challenge to share and bring to life, to transform inspiration into action.
Food and Climate Shapers are SEEDERS: talented and charismatic individuals, driving dialogue and change, SEEING the challenges of current systems that drive climate change and chronic diseases, ENVISIONING what needs to be done to improve these systems as a part of reaching the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s), ENGAGING with people and organizations in their own environment to start acting on making change, DOING take a pledge to stay actively involved
The program starts on 20 November 2020. In this Digital Boot Camp, understanding the “Healing Power Food” is on center stage. This makes the program unique.
Participants are encouraged to include food choices, food diplomacy, food identities, experiences and exponential technologies in fighting climate change. They learn to take a holistic approach and look at systemic solutions.
