FFI & FAO Boot Camps: Pollica
👩🌾🍽 September 6-12 #Pollica, Italy – Climate-Smart Farms/Kitchen
Pollica is a small Municipality with 2.338 inhabitants. Despite its dimension and peripheral location, this small town represents the perfect symbol of Mediterranean Diet and culture, with a strong production of agricultural products like wine grapes, olives, cereals and fruit and a lifestyle based on skills, knowledge, rituals and traditions, centered on the sharing and consumption of food in a perfect balance between food scape and food identity. This is where the Humana Communitas lives, marking its presence in food related behavioural patterns and food experiences. The slow rhythm of life in Pollica allows participants to dive in the Mediterranean culture and its emphasis on hospitality, neighbourliness, intercultural dialogue and creativity. It’s the place to be for studying regenerative vitality and the relation between food and health in the framework of food culture and smart kitchens.
Pollica will be the sixth stage of the second edition of the Food & Climate Shapers Boot Camps, launched together with FAO.
